About us

Lucen Software began with a simple idea: make complex work easier to understand.

What started as Office Timeline, a timeline tool trusted by millions, has evolved into a Microsoft-native clarity platform that helps teams plan, track, and communicate work with confidence inside familiar tools like PowerPoint and Excel.

We started by solving a simple problem: project plans were hard to explain. The work wasn’t the issue, communicating it clearly was. That insight shaped everything that followed.

Today, Lucen exists to bring clarity to complex work so teams can align faster and communicate with confidence.

About the name

Our new name reflects what has always defined us: clarity. Lucen is inspired by the Latin root luc, meaning light, illumination, and clarity of thought. It captures our core purpose: helping professionals turn complex project information into communication that is immediate, visual, and unmistakably clear.
